All the other religious leaders of the world died, never to be heard from again...
Jesus loved you so much that He died on the cross to take away your sins. Then, three days later He came back to life again! His resurrection sets Him apart from everyone else in the history of the world. It demonstrates that He alone is the Son of God and the one true Savior. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 5:6, 5:8, 1 John 4:9-10 (Click on 2 above to continue)
No matter who you are or where you were born; no matter your nationality, background or religion; Jesus came down from heaven to give His life for you. The hundreds of miracles that He performed (seen by thousands of eyewitnesses), and His resurrection from the dead, prove conclusively that He was (and is) the promised Messiah; the Savior of the world; and "God with us" - God come to earth in human form. John 4:25-26, 4:42, Matthew 1:21-22 (Click on 3 above)
Because Jesus shed His blood for you, paying the full cost and penalty for your sins, God offers you salvation (forgiveness and eternal life) as a free gift, if you will simply put your faith in Jesus Christ alone. This might sound to good to be true, but it is true because of God's lovingkindness and compassion for you. The Bible makes it clear that salvation is the free gift of God's undeserved grace for those who are unworthy. Romans 6:23, Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9 (Click on 4 above)
You can never earn or achieve God's forgiveness by being religious, doing good works, or dedicating your life to Him. Self-righteous, personal devotion, or promising to live for Jesus, are utterly rejected as means of getting right with God. You must come to Him in all your sin and helplessness, or not at all. The reason for this is simple... Romans 3:10-12, 4:5, 5:6-8, Titus 3:5 (click 5 above)
On the cross, Jesus became your substitute, suffering and dying in your place. All of the condemnation and wrath that you rightfully deserve for your sinfulness was poured out on Him. He willingly and lovingly took your punishment upon Himself, so that your guilt and shame could be removed forever. Simply, believe in Him (trust in Him) as your only Savior. 1 Peter 3:18 , Acts 10:43, 16:31
God's gift is only for the unworthy and powerless, who have nothing to offer God in return!
The Bible teaches that we can never be made right with God by being religious, devoting our lives to God, or serving others. Things like going to church, getting baptized, tithing, and trying to keep the 10 Commandments can never take away our sins or make us righteous before God. 1 Corinthians 1:17, Philippians 3:9 (Click on 2 above to continue)
We can never be forgiven by doing good works, giving up a sinful habit, or even promising to follow Jesus. It's not that these things are bad in themselves. It's just that they are not God's way of salvation. Acts 4:12, Romans 4:5-8, 11:6, Titus 3:5 (click on 3 above)
According to the Scriptures, the only way that anyone can be forgiven and made right with God is through faith in Jesus Christ. He is the one and only Savior and the only way to God. Through His death and resurrection, He did everything that God required to save us. By His sacrifice and shed blood, He has washed away our sins and guilt forever. Now, anyone who simply puts their faith in Him alone is pronounced 'permanently and perfectly righteous' in God's sight! This is why the Gospel is called "Good News!" Romans 3:22-25 (click on 4 to continue)
The good news of the Gospel is that the worst of sinners - those who are unworthy, undeserving, and powerless to save themselves (like you and me), need only to receive God's free gift of salvation by putting our faith in the Savior. God gives this gift freely and without cost to us the moment we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, because Jesus paid our sin debt once and for all on the cross. Romans 4:5, Romans 5:8
When you trust in Jesus Christ as your only Savior, God places you in His royal family. You become His dearly loved child and He treats you as being pure, precious and perfectly righteous forever!
If you have put your faith in Jesus Christ by believing that He died for your sins and rose again; three things have changed forever. God has given you... 1) A New Start. 2) A New Life. 3) A New Identity. (Click on 2 above to continue reading)
Because Christ's death has removed all of your sins forever, God has given you a new start and a new life (Christ's resurrection life has been imparted to you). He has also given you a new identity! You have been born again into God's royal family and you are now His dearly loved child forever! He has also given you a rich heavenly inheritance. 1 Peter 1:3-5 (Click 3 above)
You are perfectly accepted and fully approved in God's sight, not because of something you do or don't do, or on the basis of of your obedience or disobedience, but only because God has placed you "in Christ" who removed your sins forever on the cross and clothed you with His perfect righteousness the moment you believed in Christ alone as your Savior. See 2 Corinthians 5:21 and Ephesians 1:3-8 (Click 4 above)
God has decreed that you are 'perfectly righteous forever in Christ', not because of your righteousness (which is inadequate at best), but because of Christ's righteousness. Your new identity is found in Christ alone and it has been freely given from God to you, not from you to God. See Romans 3:22 and Romans 8:31-33 (Click on 5 above)
Enjoying the privileges of your new identity begins when you start realizing, and resting on the fact, that all the treasures of Christ are yours, not because of your own devotion, effort or zeal, but only because God has poured out His grace on you generously, lavishly and without limit.

100% Accurate Bible Prophecies!
Several hundred years before Jesus was born, the prophets of Israel miraculously foretold His coming with perfect accuracy! There are over 400 prophesies about Jesus in the Bible! Click on 2 above to continue.
500 years before the birth of Christ, the prophet Micah announced the exact place where Jesus would be born, His future rule over the nation of Israel, and the fact that He would be a shepherd to His people. "But you, Bethlehem... though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for Me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times. He will stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God..." Micah 5:2-4
700 years before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah announced that He would be born of a virgin. “The Lord Himself will give you a sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God with us.’” Isaiah 7:14
700 years before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah also spoke of His birth, His divine Sonship, His future government, His eternal kingdom (when He will reign on the earth) and His many titles. "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward and forever.” Isaiah 9:6-7
700 years before Jesus was born, Isaiah also wrote about Christ's suffering for our sins. He wrote about the fact that He would be pierced for our transgressions and that He would be offered as a sacrifice, bearing our iniquities. “Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all... You make His soul an offering for sin. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities... He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53 excerpts)
The author of the book of Hebrews quotes several prophesies from the Psalms that were written 1,000 years before Christ came to the earth! Here are just a few examples. “[And God said] 'You are my Son; today I have become your Father...I will be His Father, and He will be my Son.' And again, when God brings His Firstborn into the world, He says, 'Let all God’s angels worship Him.' ...About the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.” Hebrews 1:5-9

Every book of the Bible was written to a specific audience, for a specific purpose, at a specific time. As a result, some books are more pertinent and relevant to us than others. Two of these books, the Gospel of John and the Book of Romans, are primary and foundational. These two books hold the key to understanding the message and meaning of the entire Bible.
The Gospel of John was written to present an accurate and easy-to-understand biography of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. John records several personal interactions Jesus had with people just like us. He also includes word pictures and illustrations that are simple to comprehend and yet profound in their meaning.
The Book of Romans was written to explain the most essential truths of the Bible. As a result, it helps us understand the Old Testament, the four New Testament Gospels and the Book of Acts. Therefore, Romans is the starting point for all Bible study!
Here is a simple 21-day plan for reading the Gospel of John. Just read one chapter of the Gospel of John each day. If you miss a day, just pick up where you left off the next day. If you have difficulty understanding a chapter, read it twice.
Our 21-day plan for Romans is a little different. Start by reading Romans 3:19-31 & Romans 4:1-8 once a day for the first five days. Note: These two passages are most important! Then, on day six, begin with chapter one and read one chapter each day until you finish chapter 16. If you have any difficulty understanding a chapter, read it twice. If you have any questions, let us know. The Gospel of John and the Book of Romans are life-changing! If you follow through and complete both 21 day plans, I assure you that you will experience God's grace and power in new and dynamic ways.

The Savior of the World
(John 4:3-26 excerpts)
"Jesus, tired as He was from the journey, sat down by the well [Jacob's well]. It was about 12 o'clock noon. When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (Click on 2 above)
The Samaritan woman said, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water.”
“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well...?” Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
...The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am He.”
The "living water" that Messiah offered this woman without cost represents forgiveness of sins and eternal life. "I will give to the one who is thirsty, the fountain of the water of life freely... Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life." (Revelation 21:6, 22:17)

The Answer is "No!"
You may be surprised to learn that doing good things, or doing good works, or having good intentions can never make us righteous in God's sight. (Click 2 above to continue reading)
The Bible teaches that we are all sinners and often do things (even good things) with wrong motives. We may have felt sorry for our sins, determined to do better, prayed a prayer, or promised to make Jesus the Lord of our life, but none of these things can ever take our sins away. Jeremiah 17:9, Matthew 7:21-23 (Click 3 above to continue)
According to the Bible, we all fall infinitely short of God's standards and we completely lack the righteousness God requires. Even our deepest devotion and the very best things we do are totally unacceptable to God as a way to be made right with Him. Romans 3:10-12, Isaiah 64:6 (Click 4 above)
Doing good things can actually hinder us from getting right with God because they can cause us to rely on our own effort, obedience, devotion or self-righteousness. But we can never be made right with God this way or by any promise or sacrifice we make. Only Christ's once and for all sacrifice on the cross for us removes our guilt forever. Titus 3:5, 1 Peter 3:18 (Click 5 above)
On the cross, Jesus suffered the full punishment you deserve. Because He died in your place, God offers you full forgiveness and eternal life without cost, if you will simply put your faith in Him as your one and only Savior. Romans 3:21-25
